lakeFS Enterprise v1.99.0

Changelog

🆕 What's new:

  • S3 gateway: Added support for S3 directory buckets as a blockstore backend
  • Iceberg REST Catalog: New tables are created with gc.enabled=false by default, preventing Spark from automatically garbage-collecting data files. Use lakeFS-native Iceberg table cleanup instead.
  • RBAC: User creation API now accepts and returns an external_id, making it easier to correlate lakeFS users with external identity systems

🐛 Bugs Fixed:

  • Hooks: Fixed action files being loaded from an incorrect address, which could cause hook execution to fail
