lakeFS Enterprise v1.101.0

Changelog

🆕 What's new:

  • Object Lifecycle Management: automate objects soft-deletion by prefix-based rules. Learn more
  • WebUI: A unified Data Retention repository settings view for Object Lifecycle Management, Garbage Collection and Branch Lifecycle Management
  • API: Speed up repository counting by returning the total count without listing all repositories.

🐛 Bugs Fixed:

  • WebUI: Fixed the UI in multi-blockstore setups when only a single storage is configured.
  • Iceberg REST Catalog: A failure to create the catalog service user no longer prevents the lakeFS server from starting; only affected catalog requests now fail until the service user is available.
  • Graveler: a failed staging scan is no longer mistakenly treated as evidence that a branch is clean
  • Graveler: a failed block read is no longer mistakenly treated as the end of a range, which could have caused incomplete listings
  • Graveler: concurrent branch updates (commit, merge, import, reset) no longer share one retry back-off, which skewed how long a retrying operation waited
  • lakectl: repo create now documents the --storage-id flag in its help output
  • Security: the client IP behind RBAC SourceIp conditions and audit logs is no longer taken from forwarding headers that a client can set. X-Forwarded-For and X-Real-IP are honored only from proxies declared in trusted_proxies, and ip_strategy selects between a direct connection, a proxy, and a CDN header
